Inflation in Serbia in 2019 1.7 pct

The prices of goods and services covered by inflation measurement in Serbia in December last year were 0.5 percent higher than the month before, and compared to the same month in 2018, they went up 1.9 percent, while the annual inflation was 1.7 percent, the Beta news agency reported on Monday, citing the Republic Statistic Bureau.

The prices went up in utility cost, fuel, food, beverages, health service, alcohol drinks and tobacco, recreation and culture, furniture, home appliances, clothes and footwear.

Less money was needed for restaurants and hotels, communication and transport.
