Serbia’s Vucic with Russian, Chinese envoys on economic cooperation, pandemic

Aleksandar Vucic, Serbia’s President, continues strengthening Belgrade ties with Moscow and Beijing by meeting their ambassadors on Monday to discuss further economic cooperation.

Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, the Russian ambassador to Serbia, and Vucic said they were happy with progress in economic relations.

They agreed that projects in energy followed the envisaged dynamics and expected them to substantially contribute to Serbia’s economic development and the quality of its citizens’ life, the statement from Vucic’s office said.

In the meeting with the Chinese ambassador Chen Bo, the two discussed the strategic cooperation and current and future infrastructural projects.

Vucic thanked both ambassadors for their countries’ aid to Serbia during the coronavirus pandemic.
