Internal Affairs Minister Aleksandar Vulin said on Tuesday that Serbia is on its own side despite having been subjected to blackmail and ultimatums in the past.
“Leave the Serbs to decide on their own and don’t threaten them with force, you might get a response you won’t like,” Vulin a written statement quoted him as saying.
He said that Serbia is on the better side of history “which is something that (European Commission President Ursula) Von Der Leyen’s people and most of the peoples making up the European Union, can’t brag about”. According to Vulin, Serbia is headed by “the last free statesman in Europe Aleksandar Vucic who consistently shows respect for international law which is why we can’t understand that Ukraine’s territorial integrity is sacred and Serbia’s is not”.
Vulin said that the claims of dictatorship and lack of rule of law would have been forgotten by now if Vucic had agreed to impose sanctions on Russia and recognize Kosovo.
