Barricades removed, Jarinje, Brnjak border crossings still closed

August 1, 2022
Barricades were removed from all roads in North Kosovo in order to enable traffic, but the Jarinje and Brnjak border crossings are still closed, N1 reporter said.
The barricades were put up Sunday by Kosovo Serbs ahead of the implementation of Pristina’s decision on new travel documents for people entering the territory with Serbian IDs and new license plates for vehicles with car plates issued by Serbia.
Under pressure from the international community, the Kosovo Government agreed to postpone the implementation of these measures for 30 days.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said Monday morning that the measures will be postponed when all barricades are removed.
