Osmani to Turner-Kosovo talking to US

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani told Congressman Michael Turner (REP Ohio) that “the state of Kosovo is successfully talking to the US”.
A press release quoted her as saying that “the commitment of the US was necessary on our road to independence and statehood”.
She said that Kosovo’s goal is membership in NATO, the European Union, Council of Europe and other international organizations.
Osmani said that Pristina cooperates with the US in defense and security and added that the Kosovo Intelligence Agency has close cooperation with US intelligence services on common security issues.
She said that Pristina has taken fundamental steps to improve the situation in the north of Kosovo but added that Serbia is obstructing those efforts and causing destabilization through criminal groups.
