Goran Rakic, the head of the Serb List party, supported by Belgrade, said on Wednesday that it would decide on Thursday about its participation in early general elections in Kosovo on October 6, the Beta news agency reported.
Speaking in Gracanica, in central Kosovo, Rakic has said the consultations are underway.
He has recalled that Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic is in favour of their participation, adding the Serb List is in constant contact with him.
“The deadline for submitting election lists is midnight Friday, and I think that we will decide tomorrow,” Rakic said.
Kosovo early general elections due on October 6 were called following the resignation of Ramush Haradinaj from his post as the Prime Minister. The Hague-based Special Court for Kosovo Albanian war crimes during the armed conflict in former Serbia's province in 1998-1999 summoned Haradinaj as a suspect, and he said he had to resign.
