The European Union will restart in two weeks’ time the accession negotiations with Turkey, suspended more than three years ago. This has been announced in Luxembourg, at the end of a two-day meeting of the EU’s 28 foreign ministers.

Will Serbia be next?

As reported by CNN a few days ago, Serbia’s prime minister, Ivica Dacic, has publicly declared his “certainty” that his country will be the next member of the European Union. If this is true, Serbia will become the third country of the former Yugoslavia to join the European family after Slovenia (2004) and Croatia (July 2013).
